Virtual PBX For The Business Traveler

Our Freedom800® virtual PBX systems are great for many different business sizes, structures, and people.  One of those groups of people that can benefit a lot from our systems are business travelers and here’s how:

  • A business traveler can obviously be reached most times on their cell phones.  However, when they are away from the office, they may not want people calling their cell phone directly.  Many still want to present the professional and on the ball image that they get from their PBX.  Therefore, they will use the Follow Me Live Call Forwarding feature to forward calls to their cell phone when they are away on business.  That way, callers still hear their professional greeting, have different options of where they would like to be connected, when they have a caller on the line they can forward them to a different extension if necessary, and if they are not available the caller will be sent to a professional voicemail instead of to the cell phone voicemail.  The virtual PBX can then let the user know they have a message waiting for them, deliver the message to them over the phone or to an email address.
  • Another issue that business travelers run into while on the road is sending and receiving faxes.  Many times they are at the mercy of the hotel they are staying in or a local mail store when trying to communicate by fax.  With our Fax Send and Fax Mail features, they are free to send and receive faxes from any computer with an Internet connection.  Most hotels, conference rooms, airports, and coffee shops now have Internet access so they don’t have to waste time searching for a fax machine or pay any extra charges for the priviledge.
