Zip Code Routing As A Custom Solution

One of the things that sets Freedom800® apart from other providers is our ability to customize our systems and features to suit the needs of our customers.  One popular customization uses our Dial By Name feature to route calls to different locations or phone numbers. 

The Dial By Name feature used as it is allows callers to punch in the first few letters of a person’s first or last name so that they can find their extension.  This feature allows businesses to avoid having a list of extensions that callers would otherwise have to sit through while looking for the one person they want.

We frequently get requests to customize our Dial By Name feature to route calls not by name but by zip code.  For example if you have 3 offices in three different locations and you want your callers to be forwarded to the office within their area, you could ask them to enter in their zip code to be forwarded to the appropriate office.  This feature can also be customized to accept area code, assigned pin codes, or pretty much any other set of numbers or letters you need.
